Eyes wide open
‘Eyes wide open’ is an ode to London, a city where life explodes in million ways around us. A city where chaos reigns throughout its vibrant streets and yet, where poetic moments emerge from this excitation, this enduring thirst to move and continually reinvent itself. This series is an ode to seeing unexpected moments of wonder and curiosity amidst the messy, complex, unpredictable side of urban life. It is an ode to the mundane, and the understated, from where poetry can emerge randomly. It is an ode to the greatest city on earth, which hides most of its wonders to the world, unless you keep looking, you keep opening your eyes, to see further.
This project has been compiled from photographs taken in London from 2016 to 2025, reflecting almost 10 years of curious observation of a city that has become my beautiful hometown.
